This lightweight horse riding vest design with tailbone coverage made by DESCENTE exclusively for the Japan Horse Racing Association (JRA), uses a laminate of perforated foams constructed in panels. The continual movement of several independently hinged sections pumps air through the channels and out through the net (mesh) fabric to make this one of the most comfortable equestrian safety vests available.
This Japanese riding vest is one such vest that is popular with professional jockeys due to its flexibility and ventilation system. However, it does not meet the safety standards requested by Horse Racing Associations in several countries.
